‘Low Tide Between The Islands, Tresco, Isles of Scilly’ - Stone Lithograph, Unframed

£200.00

This pair of stone lithographs have been made in collaboration with The Lemonade Press in response to a recent body of work I made for Messums, Morgans & Nicholas Bowlby Gallery.

For this stone lithograph I drew directly onto the stone from compositions created for paintings. I love that this method of working is so direct and leaves little room for any doubt once you have made your marks on the stone.

The subject matter for the Emerging Landscape Painting Today Symposium on 11th November 2024 at Messums Gallery is centred around “the role of the artist in fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the natural world through unique experiences”.

By pushing myself to explore another mark-making technique, I can further stretch the impulse to work in a completely immediate and connected way to the islands, and be transported in that moment to the location I am working on.
